Nolan Dahm

Public Historian · Charlotte, NC

I'm the Exhibits Manager at the Charlotte Museum of History, where I lead the museum's historical interpretation, from the 1774 Homesite to the restoration of a 1920s Rosenwald-era schoolhouse. I'm also the founder of QC History, a digital history project making Charlotte's past accessible online.

My work focuses on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region, the history of slavery and the American South, environmental history, and the history of education. I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and moved to North Carolina in 2015. Die-hard Iowa Hawkeye and Charlotte Hornets fan.
